LAKE VIEW DISPLAYS SPEED Son of White Satin Completes the ThreeQuarters in 111 Porter Roberts Guides Lady Charlotte to toVictory Victory In Fourth Race at River RiverDowns Downs Course CINCINNATI Ohio Oct 27 Lake View speedy son of White Satin captured the fourth race at six furlongs the best offered a goodsized crowd at River Downs this afternoon in the good time of 111 to be an easy winner Jean Lee was second five lengths in Lake Views wake and four lengths before Garden Pool which lasted to beat Golden Nuggett by a nose for third Dona Nutter the other starter was last lastCloudy Cloudy skies prevailed for the attractive program and favorites again were in the minority The track was fast fastTed Ted Dickinson permitted the winner to sprint into a commanding lead during the opening quarter with Garden Pool in closest pursuit and Jean Lee showing the way to the others Approaching the final quarter Lake View increased his advantage with Garden Pool steadily giving way to Jean Lee Dur ¬ ing the run for home the winner drew away to his winning margin ol five lengths and though Jean Lee was much the best of the others he was unable to offer the winner a serious threat threatPOPULAR POPULAR TRIUMPH TRIUMPHPorter Porter Roberts and Lady Charlotte a fash ¬ ionably bred daughter of Sir Gallahad III scored a popular victory in the first race at six furlongs Sir Blackie the second choice was second and Very Much finished third Roberts hustled Lady Charlotte into a com ¬ manding lead during the opening quarter and setting her own pace she came to the finish two and onehalf lengths before Sir Blackie Very Much tired after improving her position and Maryan D gave way after chasing the winner to the stretch stretchLernana Lernana provided a big surprise in win ¬ ning the threequarters second race Always in closest pursuit of the pacemaking Wanda Gable the winner drove past her when in ¬ side the final furlong to reach the finish with a length to spare Wanda Gable lasted to beat the fastfinishing Stingy by a nose for second Upholder a 6to5 choice began very slowly and only made up enough ground to carry off fourth laurels laurelsAnn Ann Star carried off winning honors In the third race After pacemaking for a half mile Fylfot lasted to take second hon ¬ ors by a half of a length over Abdicate and Lucky Lee got up to beat Oddesa Maid by a nose for fourth laurels Courtaway chased the speedy Fylfot for a half mile but she gave way when Nick Spine called upon the winner The finish found Ann Star with three lengths to spare spareArboreal Arboreal the favorite accounted for her third consecutive victory at the local course and her eighth of the year when she was an easy winner of the fifth race for juve ¬ niles and at six furlongs Arboreal came to the finish two lengths before Blue Star Hastada was third
