DUPUY AND PAGE LEAD DETROIT Mich July 11 The contest ftitf the diamondstudded gold watch offered to the leading apprentice at the Fair Grounds meeting by the SquareDeal Miller Jewelry Company of Detroit has narrowed down to a battle between Hayden Dupuy of Marks ville La and Patterson Milligan who makes his home at Bunkie La In triumphing with fifteen of his mounts last week Dupuy had amassed a total of 339 points which put him in front of his native state rival by a comfortable margin Milligan who rode only three winners last week has 290 points In the contest for the watch offered the older reinsman jockey Willie Page still liolds an advantage over Sammy Williams with Eu genio Rodriguez and Porter Roberts follow ¬ ing closely Page who scored most of his points while serving his apprenticeship has 177 points Williams 141 Rodriguez 128 and Roberts 125
