ROMAN ILL WITH FEVER ARLINGTON HEIGHTS 111 July 11 The Arlington Futurity hopes of the J OE Widener stable were dealt a severe blow when Roman its crack twoyearold became i ill last night and this morning was running I a temperature of 102 degrees The seri ouseness of the colts condition was not im ¬ mediately known but unless he recovers I quickly he will have to pass up Arlington Parks rich juvenile test which is scheduled j for July 29 29Roman Roman winner of the Lafayette Stakes at Keeneland and the Bashford Manor at Churchill Downs before coming to Chicago j last Saturday accounted for the Hyde Park Stakes here On the strength of this latter performance he was one of the early choices for the Futurity
