PAY GROOM AWARDS DIRECT DIRECTCRETE CRETE 111 May 26 The Lincoln Fields Jockey Club is paying groom awards which amounts to 10 per race to the attendants of the winning horses direct Under opinions obtained from governmental and state departments this is possible without danger of any violation of federal or state laws The groom prizes are considered special awards according to track officials officialsBeginning Beginning today the groom awards Avere deducted from the purses and set aside in the division of the purse money The track however will continue to in ¬ clude the attendants award money in the purses as announced In the official entries
