CEREMONY HONORING RIDERS RIDERSCHARLES CHARLES TOWN W Va May 31 As a fitting incident to the Memorial Day pro ¬ gram of racing presented at Charles Town Friday the memory of jockeys Frank Munoz Lou Machado and Roger Payne colored was commemorated by a brief ceremony honor ¬ ing the riders who were killed at nearby courses The ceremony arranged through efforts of the National Horsemens Guild in cooperation with the Jockeys Guild took place prior to the running of the first race Local members of the jockey colony assem ¬ bled in front of the stewards stand while the diminutive Charles Town bugler sent forth the shrill notes of taps
