Traumer Suneego who won two races in succession at Hot Springs accounted for his third victory of the year in six starts when he led Hunt ley Shers Dog House home by a length and a half at the end of the mile of the Brookfield Purse an allowance event which featured the afternoons program at Lincoln Fields In victoiy today the Denemark gelding was qualifying for hi sengagement in the 5000 added La Salle Handicap which will feature Saturdays program and he was under a drive from Willie Garner as he completed the distance in 141 J over a cuppy racing strip which was classified as slow Only a nose away from Dog House at the final marker was W C Strouhes Sirasia who was making his first appearance under silks since he finished second to Joe Schenck in inthe the j10000 added Tropical Handicap The fiveyearold son of Sir Gallahad III turned in a good effort but for a time it was thought that the veteran Earl Pool who rode him would claim a foul against the Denemark gelding for making him take up while racing along the rail at the eighth pole When Pool saw the numbers on the board had him third however he changed his mind although there was no question that being pinched back had cost him the place award awardTAKEN TAKEN UNDER RESTRAINT RESTRAINTAlthough Although the winner was first out of the gate Garner took him back and allowed Sirasia to make the pace in the long run down the back stretch from out of the chute Going into the far turn Dog House took the temporarilySirasia lead but only temporarily Sirasia again took over as Dog House dropped back rapidly and appeared to be out of it Around the turn Sirasia Saint Andrews and Idle Sun were lapped on one another Straightening away into the front lane they were together but here Saint Andrews showed signs of tiring and dropped back out of it to leave the issue between Sirasia and Idle Sun SunGoing Going by the eighth pole Idle Sun began to pull away from Sirasia but as he did he went in on the rail and Pool had to take the Texasowned son of Sir Gallahad III up short It was then that Dog House came on again to hook up with Sirasia in a duel which cost that one that place award awardWhile While there was no rain during two in a row over this racing strip when she came from far back through the stretch to account for the second race a sevenfurlong event for older horses of tha 1000 to 1250 claiming bracket The chestnut daughter of Pilate was under a 1 ard drive to earn the verdict in front of Mrs James F Waters Onig after taking over the lead when Pops Rival tired at the sixteenth pole The Berry filly had a command long himself Little Red Fox overtook him just before the sixteenth pole was reached and in a few strides Kirwin pinned his ears back and the Dunn gelding pulled away with no great difficulty J D Weils Haichow picked up third money in advance of the pacesetting Bird High who was dropping back rapidly Farrell Devereuxs Omathon was cut down during the running of the race
