UNITED HDNTS ONEDAY MEETING ON SATURDAY SATURDAYPlans Plans Completed at Their New Layout at Piping Rock Club Course Mile in Circumference CircumferenceNEW NEW YORK N Y June 10 With all plans completed the United Hunts Racing Association is set for one of the best Spring meetings in its long history at their new course at the Fiping Rock Club in Locuvt Valley Long Island this Saturday The first hunts meeting in the New York ar Yj will be a sports and social event eventEntries Entries for the seven races on the pro ¬ gram three over brush two over hurdles and two on the flat closed with assurance of big fields They will bring out some of the best jumpers in the East many of which were seen at Belmont Park ParkThe The United Hunts joins the Piping Rock Club in reviving racing over the historic course where the Piping Rock Club con ¬ ducted the sport during the dark days of the sport in 1911 and 1912 and with the United Hunts kept racing alive in this state A new course with two racing strips has been completed and approved by owners trainers and members of the race commit ¬ tee It is a mile course with six obstacles to the mile mileInside Inside the brush course will be a hurdle course from which the hurdles will be re ¬ moved for the flat races The race commit ¬ tee considers this one of the best courses in the East EastThe The feature of the program will be the revival of the Piping Rock Cup The cup is coming back into competition as a perpetual challenge trophy in a steeplechase handicap for fouryearolds and upward at about two miles over brush Among the probable starters are George H Pete Bostwicks West Haddon Log Cabin Studs Chuckatuck Mrs Arthur Whites Bay Dean all winners at Belmont Park Alvin Untermyers Kells boro and Gwladys Whitneys Red Rain RainSTREETT STREETT MEMORIAL CHASE CHASEThe The secondary feature will be the William B Street Steeplechase at about two miles and a half over brush It is named for the late amateur rider and trainer The trophy will be the Stamford Cup first raced for at Lincolnshire England in 1800 and donated for this event by Mr and Mrs Frank M Gould for whom Streett was training at the time of his death last year A large field is promised for this race as the conditions make eligible many of the overnight winners at Belmont Park ParkAnother Another new race which will conclude the card will be the Cocktail Park Sweepstakes fashioned after the Dinner Stakes at Hia leah Park in which members of the United Hunts and Piping Rock Club may run their own or leased horses The trophy for this will be awarded at the club at a cocktail party following the races More than twenty entries were received for this race raceIn In order that the best jumpers of the East will be on hand Lewis E Waring president of the United Hunts has arranged to have horses vanned from Delaware Park at the expense of the association The Piping Rock Club can be reached via Route 25 The first race is scheduled for 215 p m
