NUMBER ONE COMBINATION OMAHA DOUBLE WINNER WINNEROMAHA OMAHA Neb June 21 Brown Pennant one of the better Nebraskabreds won his second race of the current meeting when he made good in the opening event this afternoon Evidently believing that there is strength in numbers the public made the threehorse field ground favorite in the wagering but Brown Pennant was clearly the best The fiveyearold under the guid ¬ ance of jockey Cliff Stafford went to the front when ready on the stretch turn and drew out to win by four lengths Kaleidison was second and Norma Clark third thirdThe The combination of numbers one and one proved successful in the Daily Double when Idle Bubbles the rail horse won the second event The sevenyearold mare hug ¬ ging the inside from the start got through an opening in the stretch to win in handy fashion from Heidi the favorite while Jura boy was third Jockey Whiting leading rider at the meeting piloted Idle Bubbles and it was the boys first score in three days The distance of the event was six furlongs Although Brown Pennant winner of the opening event was number one on the program he broke from number ten post position
