GEORGE RAFT BREEDER HOLLYWOOD Calif June 25 George Raft debonair motion picture star is the latest luminary of this vale of flickering lights and shadows to become interested in breeding thoroughbreds Raft recently sent his threeyearold filly Baby Joan F to the Henry Isenberg ranch near Riverside to be bred to Justice F Should the initial venture turn out to be even fairly successful it is understood Raft will expand his oper ¬ ations Baby Joan F daughter of James ¬ town was from the High time mare La Con tessa whose second dam was by the great Flying Fox Jamestown was the sire of the sensationally fast Johnstown winner of the 1939 Kentucky Derby Mated with Justice F a good race horse and well regarded as a sire Baby Joan F a fleetfooted filly which won two of her four starts as a two yearold last year carries the hopes of her owner that she will produce a champion at least a winner of one of Californias many stakes for homebreds
