PRECEDENT NOT SET SETSTANTON STANTON Del June 25 While receiv ¬ ing praise from steeplechase owners and trainers for suspending the Indian River conditions and running that 6000 stake with only five interests the office of the racing secretary drew attention to the con ¬ ditions for the Vicmcnd Steeplechase 2500 added about two miles and a half set for Wednesday July 2 These conditions require that the race shall be declared off unless there be six different interests to start Racing secretary Edward J Brennan em ¬ phasized that the generosity of the manage ment in running the Indian River with a fewer number of interests than called for should not be taken as a precedent Neither general manager Burke nor Mr Brennan want the assumption to grow that liberties can be taken with the conditions
