Whirlabout Is Recovering Following Coughing Spell SpellSTICKNEY STICKNEY 111 May 22 Sherril Ward trainer of Arthur B Hancocks Whirlabout received word from Louisville that the daughter of Pompey and Lost Horizon is well on her way to recovery after a cough ¬ ing spell which prevented her from mak ¬ ing the trip to Lincoln Fields with the other members of the Wardtrained stable Ward left the Debutante Stakes winner and two other juveniles at Churchill Downs in charge of former jockey S Griffin GriffinThe The illness will prevent Whirlabout from participating in the Joliet Stakes but Ward hopes to have her under colors be fore the close of the Lincoln Fields meet ¬ ing She is eligible to the Lassie Stakes and other features to be offered for juve ¬ niles during the Arlington and Washington Park meetings
