FOX BROWNIE improved his position steadily, and in the stretch lun came between the leaders and. finishing with a rush, ware down l"N-CHALLENGED in the final drive. The latter was sprinted into a safe lead, but under pressure began to tire and drift out. ETERNITY closed with a rush and was going fastest of all. COLCHI moved up entering the stretch and was in close quarters at the end. Dl STY. on the inside, showed a good effort. JEAN MIRACLE could not keep up. MISS DRUMMOND tired badiy. GRANDPAL appeared to lack early speed, but finished well. K. DORKO. on the inside in the stretih run, tired badly. PLANTAGENET floundered slightly in the final eighth. FIRST GUN could not menace the leaders on the inside. The race was run in a blinding rainstorm, making it impossible to distinguish colors urtil the final errhth was reached.
