EPAWAY. never far back, came throuch between horses when making his move in the stretch and won handily. MINEDDA had speed from the start, bore out badly when in hand entering the stretch and outstayed MAD SADIE. The latter had speed, but began to tire before going three quarters. WAZA WALLA, away slowly, moved with a rush on the inside and tired badly after opening up a good lead, but lasted. PCI ! . V PER, outrun early, rallied after three-eighths, was brought to the outside after swerving behind the winner and finished well. INTHEDARK passed tired horses in the last eighth. MARILYN M. had no excuses. TRANSONG gave way suddenly after reaching the stretch. CIDEAM*S BRO. raced wide. JITTERY JACK raced to the lead on the inside, then came out slightly and faltered in the closing three-sixteenths. Scratched — Bank Balance, 113. Claimed — Jittery Jack by Bernie Pierce. The latter, unable to keep up on the stretch turn, came again to finish resolutely. ANAESTHESIA, fractious at the post, raced wide much of the trip. CALEXICO, away well but unable to keep up, moved strongly on the outside on the turn and was nearing the leadine SWEEP CALL when he broke down approaching the last eighth, but finished the course. FIGHTING STEP, always eUar and sent to the lead gradually, drew «l?ar when racing wide on the stretch turn, was shaken up approaching the last eighth and continued strongly to the end. HOI ROUGE had speed, saved ground and held on with determination to the final sixteenth. BERGOLATER, forced hack approaching the turn, was slow to recover, but came steadily in the stretch and was wr: ring down ROI ROUGE. TIGER REBEL raced wide early, swerved to the inside on the stretch turn and tave way slowly in the drive. ARTILLERIST, jostled about soon after reaching the turn, was blocked by TIGER REBEL entering the stretch and had no chance thereafter. Scratched— 76771 Bayadere, 108: 76450 Her Answer, 100.
