Two Mutuel Bills Beaten BeatenBOSTON BOSTON Mass June 9 Two bills that would have increased the slidingscale tax on mutuel handles and given the state all the breakage at horse tracks in the Bay State were defeated in the Senate yes ¬ terday afternoon by a rollcall vote of 26 to 10 The legislators accepted the ad ¬ verse report of its Ways and Means Com ¬ mittee after that body voted 6 to 1 against the measure The bills were passed by the House after bitter debate two weeks ago
