Juveniles will be featured on the final C days sport here in the ,500 added East- _ * ern Shore Stakes, a dash of four and a half furlongs. This years running will be the thirty-seventh of the important fixture, -which has been won by such renowed thor- ► oughbreds as Hourless, Morvich, Equipoise, -War Admiral and Alsab. * Sal Morittis Gigolo, who was purchased from J. S. Phipps for a reported price of 0,000, shapes up as a standout in the event for two-year-olds. The Eight Thirty — Tierce colt has raced but three times in his carere. He was second to Make Swing in Florida and has won two races in as many local appearances. In his first wining effort he equaled the track record of :46 for a half mile. Prominent Rivals Despite his clever record, Gigolo is expected to have an abundance of competition. Among those slated to match strides with Gigolo are Claude C. Tanners Sickle Flight, runner-up to Eastern Flyway in the Bowie Kindergarten, and Mrs. Danny Sheas Busy Morning, winner of the recent Havre de Grace Breeders Stakes. Mondays program will be featured by the Perrysville Purse, a test of a mile and a sixteenth, which has attracted a field of only five middle -distance performers. Three of them, Christiana Stables Service Pilot, Mrs. H. K. Hickeys Ocean Front and Miss Margie Fishers Shivaree, raced together recently. Rounding out the field are C. S. Popovitz* Love Sonnet and W. Y. Golds-boroughs Binky B. Ocean Front, Shivaree and Service Pilot finished in the order named, behind Contest, in a recent engagement, with but a length separating them. The first two were making their first starts of the year, and are likely to show improvement. Service Pilot, too, is expected to show a much better effort, for that race was not a true indication of his capabilities. The three should furnish keen competition for the Monday visitors. Love Sonnet and Binky B. also raced together in a race at this course the other day, finishing third and fifth, respectively, in a race won by Cer /antes. Love Sonnet was five lengths in advance of Binky B., which would seem to give him a clear edge over his rivals. However, the two are expected to be outsiders to the aforementioned contestants.
