Last fall we got a chance to purchase the world-famous Elmendorf Farms entire 1950 crop of twenty weanlings. Though it represented a more than considerable cash outlay on our part, we jumped at the opportunity. * If you could see these now yearlings at Coldstream we believe youd agree that we made a wise decision, for adding our own youngsters, we feel we are preparing the most formidable array of Sales Yearlings it has ever been our privilege to assemble. It certainly is not necessary to recount here in detail the fabulous success of horses sold at public auction by Elmendorf Farm since 1944, any more than it is to tell you again of Coldstream Studs top-flight record in the same field since we started selling yearlings back in 1935. But we do believe youll be interested in knowing the following: A total of 374 yearlings, sold at public auction by Coldstream and Elmendorf separately since 1935 — Had won, to January 1, 1951, a total of ,788,066, an average of 5,476 They cost ,582,860, an average of $ 9,579 Earnings above cost to January 1, 1951 ,205,206, an average of $ 5,896 And many of them are still winning important money! Remember, too, that when you buy a Coldstream-bred or a Widener-bred you are investing in a potential successful stallion or broodmare. * For further information address COLDSTREAM STUD Incorporated Box 836 Phone, 4-1434 NEWTOWN PIKE LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY l_
