Yonkers in Grand Circuit; Third Meeting in New York YONKERS. N. Y., May 4.— Yonkers Raceway • has joined harness racings Grand i Circuit to fill the two-week period from l October 15 to October 27. it was recently / announced by Grand Circuit president Octave Blake. Blake said the track would present a i purse program of some 00,000 for that t period to attract the cream of the nations s trotters and pacers. Yonkers becomes the e sixteenth member association in the Roaring - Grand for 1951. The admission of this association to the e major league of harness racing makes it the third group in the metropolitan New v York area to be granted Grand Circuit t dates this year. The others are the Old i Country Trotting Association and the e Nassau Trotting Association, both operating S at Roosevelt Raceway, Westbury, Long U Island.
