PINE LAKE moved up strongly on the backstretch and, catching UGLY PRINCE weakening after straightening out for the run home, went to the front to open up a wide advantage in the final sixteenth. BIG ELM was never far away and was racing well at the end UGLY PRINCE had speed from the start and drew out after going half the trip, but faltered in the stretch. MALI JOHNNY, although making up some ground, failed to be dangerous. BR0NZACA and CHIC ROSE had early speed.
