. Idio Looms Tepid Choice Over Six Rivals Today Cataldo Runner Picking Up Nine Pounds Over Last Winning Effort SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston; Mass., June 13. — An allowance event at six furlongs for four-year-olds and upward titled the Cambridge, features tomorrows off-day card at Suffolk Downs. After draining the stock of better-than-average performers for. the gala Massachusetts Handicap Day program, racing-secretary "Eb" Pons has done remarkably well to draft seven sprinters with the capabilities of the field in the Cambridge. . * Anthony Cataldos Idio, who is fresh from a winning performance in 1:11% at tomorrows distance, looms as the tepid choice in the feature. Slated to tote 113 pounds, nine more than he successfully carried last Saturday, the son of Heliopolis will have to be at his best to handle such opposition as should be forthcoming. Irving Gushens Lefty Jim, J. Lobiancos Power Drunk and W. Offermanns Flaming Bush represent great speed and staying power for the Cataldo gelding to overcome. Halorette, Afterwards and Lionheart are the others listed in the Cambridge line-up and none of that group can be overlooked at tomorrows distance. Halorette was a prime favorite in New England last season, but has been sparingly raced this year. Afterwards and Lionheart have turned in winning efforts over middles distances displaying speed on each occasion. The remainder of the eight-race program has been well subscribed and should offer a series of interesting contests. Preceding the feature will be another allowance dash at six furlongs. That race will mark the return* of Newspaper, barred recently for inconsistency. The sulking son of Discovery has been training smartly in the morning and may have decided to discard his erratic temperament. Sharing top weight of 122 pounds with Brownskin, Newspaper will have to be at his best if he gets the nod
