,400 in Purses and Two Cups on Oak Brook Program Purses totaling ,400 and two cups, including the famed Oak Brook challenge cup, are among the prizes attracting entries to the fifth annual Oak Brook steeplechase to be run June 23, northwest of suburban Hinsdale. The event is sponsored by the Hunts Racing Association. Opening the six-race program for the day will be the Brother Jonathon, a mile race on the turf for three-year-olds and upward, purse of 00. The Corinthian, a three-mile test over hunting fences for four-year-olds and upward, will be the first of four races over obstacles, and the winner will try for the purseof 00. The Illinois Steeplechase, run for a purse of 00, will be a two-mile race over hurdles for four-year-olds and upward. Most rugged test of the day is expected to be the three-mile race over timber. En- * tries in this race, four-year-olds and upward, will be. seeking the Oak Brook cup, and a purse of 00. The St. Regis is a maiden hurdle race for three-year-olds and upwards and will be run at two miles over hurdles. The race has a ,cash value of 00. Final event of the day will be a six-furlong sprint on the turf for women riders, to be ridden in proper hunting attire. The feminine contestants will compete for the Gallopinc Hills Cud.
