SIR SPIC, a keen factor from the beginning, was sent to the outside of LITTLE ZAC for the stretch run and, responding to punishment, disposed of the latter during the last sixteenth. LITTLE ZAC was sent to the front early, made the pace to the final furlong, then faltered and could not withstand the top one. KHAMS HOUR saved ground throughout, but could not better his position when hard urged through the stretch. STROLLING MOON weakened during the drive. OUR FUTURE had no mishap. D0NWARD began fast, but dropped back immediately after the start. VALDINA DECOY was never prominent. WISKTIGER broke alertly, but failed to stay. Scratched— 32075 Resort, 113. ROUGH N READY gradually improved position to the stretch, responded to strong handling during the drive and wore down KINGS LADY in the last strides. KINGS LADY assumed an early lead, held a short advantage when settled for the drive, but could not withstand the winner, although much the best of the others. GREY SCOUT lacked early speed, but closed fast under brisk urging. CARTA VOLANTE made a good bid entering the stretch, then faltered nearing the finish. MEANGEN could not keep up. MONOLITH engaged KINGS LADY to the stretch, then gave way. CAFE SINGER was through early. ANOTHER ENORA showed nothing. GALLANT ROCK was never prominent. BOSS BROKER, away fast, dropped back after the start and raced evenly to the stretch, then closed gamely under urging and, after disposing of the leaders, won going away. GRANNY D., a sharp factor from the beginning, reached the lead between calls during the drive, but could not hold the top one. UNCLE SI lacked early speed, but finished fast. LEAPING MOOSE was hustled to the front before going a quarter, made the pace to the last eighth, then weakened. ALL OR NOTHING went wide at the stretch turn, then bore to the inside under punishment, crowding SONS STYLE. SUNNY LIMITED drifted out at the upper turn, but could not reach serious contention when straightened up. DON VALJEAN was never prominent. SONS STYLE had early speed, but was tiring badly when caught between ALL OR NOTHING and SUNNY LIMITED during the stretch run and, roughed, failed to recover. FOURTH RACE 3-4 MILE out of chute. TARPAN gradually improved position to the stretch, raced by GAY LIBERTY during the drive, then lasted to withstand SMART EVE. The latter, outrun to the stretch, was sent to the outside for the drive and, closing fast, was getting to the top one at the finish. SUN IDOL BOY, on the inside throughout, was in close quarters during the last sixteenth mile, but held on well in a sharp effort. GAY LIBERTY assumed command at once, made the pace to the last eighth under occasional urging, then faltered. SHARP TOOL finished strongly. HENNY PENNY lacked racing room during the drive. MON SPEED engaged GAY LIBERTY to the stretch, then weakened. GRABRO showed nothing. The race was roughly run during the last three-eighths. Scratched— 31266 Best Chance, 112. The latter moved up fast after the opening quarter, reached the lead approaching the stretch and held on gamely, but could not withstand the top one although easily best of the others. FRIENDLY SANDS, away slowly, gradually improved her position, raced wide through the stretch and could not get to the leaders. LUCKY MICKY disliked the sloppy going.
