ROSILY, never far back, responded when called to drive between horses in the stretch, but was under pressure to the end. PROVIDENT lacked early speed, but moved up quickly on the turn, swung to the outside and closed fast. SHAFFIE was a strong contender from the beginning and held on well. DELHANNAH raced with the early pace and continued strongly. BIT 0 PROSE raced evenly in a good effort. CANDIDATE outran DELHANNAH to take a short lead on the turn and into the stretch, but weakened. UNCLE OTHO flashed early speed, but fell back steadily. LIKE A BREEZE could not engage the leaders. QUICK SOLUTION was in a contending position from the start while under restraint, disposed of JACKTOWN to take command in the stretch and drew out under hand urging. ACE CAPTAIN, always forwardly placed and on the inside, moved up stoutly in the stretch, but was no match for the winner. OLD PAT raced forwardly placed from the start and continued well under pressure. HOOPLA closed quickly after lacking speed to race with the early leaders. STORMY WATERS raced forwarly placed from the start, but had nothing left for the drive. JACKTOWN was sent into a clear early lead, but quit when challenged. BROWN PIRATE was not dangerous. HIERARCH had speed to outrun the field and was steadied in front around the turn, then drew clear to win with something in reserve. HALTOM, a stout contender from the start, was under pressure to reach the winner in the drive, but was not good enough. 1 BUSY FOX reached closer contention quickly and continued well, but was no match for the first two. I YALEMAN, on the inside and forwardly placed, could not improve his position. MOCK BATTLE made up some ■ ground after racing sluggishly early. MARSE GEORGE secured room on the inside to save ground and improve his position entering the stretch, K but was unable to engage the leaders. SKY RANGER was unable to outrun the early leaders and could not l improve his position. MONTAYR raced evenly, but was not dangerous. ROMAN MISS reached closer contention gradually, went to the outside for the drive, closed strongly, but was no match for the winner. WILL YOU DANCE raced forwardly and secured room on the inside to save ground entering the stretch, made a strong bid and held on well. THE GINK lacked early speed while trailing, but made up some ground in the final quarter. BREVITE passed tired horses. RUHE lacked speed to race with the early pace, went to the outside for the drive and closed with a rush. BERNWOOD was never far back and responded well when called upon to finish stoutly. SICKLES IMAGE raced forwardly from the beginning, made a determined bid in the stretch and continued gamely. ABBE STING trailed the field until reaching the final turn, then closed a good gap on the outside. ROYAL MUSTANG, closer up than usual early, could not engage the leaders. STOP GAP had good early speed, but weakened. GRASS FIRE showed a good effort. BUGLEDRUMS could not improve his position. TO MARKET was not prominent. VINCENT X. F. had some early speed. The latter lacked speed until reaching the stretch turn, then went to the outside and closed with a rush. BRITISH ISLES was sent to the front at once and, was rated there with a short lead and held on stubbornly when challenged. JANINA was a forward factor throughout, but could not get up.
