To Probe Reports of Code Violations by U S Cagers CagersNEW NEW YORK N Y May 1 UP The National Amateur Athletic Union named a fiveman committee today to investigate reports that some of the basketball players chosen to represent the U S in the Olympic games this summer have violated amateur rules rulesThe The players allegedly involved are All America Clyde Lovellette and a few of his Kansas teammates teammatesDan Dan Ferris secretary treasurer of the AAU would not disclose the nature of the amateur violations of which the players have been accused but he said the committee would press its inquiry inquiryThere There have been a lot of reports in the newspapers that certain Olympic players violated the amateur code Ferris said We have to run them down and determine whether they are true
