Governor to Attend Races DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., June 9.— Gov. Elbert N. Carvel heads a lengthy list of Delaware dignitaries who will be present at Delaware Park next Thursday when one of the featured races will be! named in honor of the Diamond States chief executive and he will present the winning owner with a trophy in the form of a handsome silver cigarette box. Earlier in the afternoon, the Governor will be the honored guest at a .large luncheon party given by Benjamin F. Shaw H., state high- j way commissioner and a member of Dela- ware Parks board of directors, in the Delaware Turf Club. An excellent program of races is being arranged and the card will include the first steeplechase contest of the meeting— the Tom JRoby Steeplechase Stakes.
