Arcaro to Ride Entire . Meeting at Arlington Crack Reinsman Now Only Eleven Victories Short of 3,000 Mark Eddie Arcaro, "Mr. Jockey" himself, will make his 1952 summer riding campaign at Arlington Park, which opens a 36-day session next Monday. The 36-year-old master rider, fresh from piloting Mrs. Walter Jeffords Qne Count to an 4,200 victory in the Belmont Stakes, informed track officials yesterday that he will be aiming at his 3,000th win sometime during the Arlington Park meeting. Only 11 victories away from the coveted 3,000 mark in his 21st season at this writing, Arcaro is scheduled to arrive on Thursday and to start taking mounts immediately for Mondays opening-day card. It will be his first full season at Arlington in years. "I really like the looks of that Arlington-Washington program," he said in New York yesterday, "and Id sort of like to hit that 3,000 mark at Arlington Park." Arcaro also will be aiming at another record, his own total of 26 stakes won in one year — 1948— with 14 of them coming aboard Calumet Farms "millionaire" Citation during the latters three-year-old campaign. Arcaro also set an all-time record that year for first money earned, with an aggregate of ,082,585. He has won half of that already in 1952 in 20 stakes victories alone. His first-place stakes mounts have won 56,637 and have included Calumets Hill Gail, Real Delight, and Bubbley, all three of which are now stabled at Arlington Park ready for the coming season. Arcaro will have ample opportunity to add to his 1952 stakes belt at Arlington. The first of 15 stakes on deck is set for opening day, the 5,000 Cleopatra, and the schedule calls for three more at 5,000. three at 0,000, one each at 5,000, 5,-000, 0,000 and 0,000, two at 0,000 and two at 00,000 added.
