HASHER improved position gradually to the half-mile pole, rushed boldly on the outside and reached the leader midway in the stretch, bore in slightly, was straightened out and drew out under pressure. SALLYS FOLLY drew clear at once, set the pace throughout, held on stubbornly when challenged, then weakened near the end. TOOTSIE McCABE, forwardly placed, lacked a late rally. SKEIN showed speed for six furlongs and weakened. SAFE BET caught tiring horses. JOIE DE VIVRE had no mishap. STRUCTURE flattened out badly. The others were outrun. The latter opened a clear lead-soon after the start, came out slightly on the final turn and shortened stride. JUANA improved position gradually on the outside, but was unable to menace. HOBCAW BARONY weakened after forcing the pace. TROY ROAD saved ground to no avail. PORTENTOUS broke alertly, dropped back, was moving on the far turn when forced to take up and failed to regain lost ground. RIP SNORT showed nothing. LIEUTENANT and LIMASOL were outrun. ATOM RIDE gained command before a quarter mile, maintained a slight advantage under light restraint to the stretch, skirted the inner rail, gave way momentarily, responded to late pressure and outfinished CAMBETTA. The latter, in close attendance of the pace under stout restraint, rallied when set down and was pressing to the end. TRICK FLIER, in hand until the final quarter mile, moved with a rush on the outside to gain a brief lead and faltered. LADY ALEXANDRA was unable to reach the leaders with late rally. FERRO FOX gained command soon after the start, held sway for a half mile and weakened. PROUD SIR caught tiring horses with a belated rush. DR. MOORE, closer to the pace than usual, lacked a late rally. KLIMIE broke alertly, dropped back before a quarter mile and was unable to regain lost ground. WAR TOKEN kept within striking distance of the pace and, saving ground, moved with a rush along the inside when set down, gained command in the stretch and withstood a sustained drive. GREAT SHUFFLE, in hand while outrun early, moved on-the far turn to near contention, continued to gain through the stretch and was catching the winner. VISIONAL forced the pace, rallying to draw on even terms for the lead in the stretch, then faltered. BLUE THANKS made up ground in the late stages. ROYAL MARVEL, off slowly, was roused after the first quarter mile, swung to the outside, losing ground on the turns, responded gamely and closed with a rush to outfinish HAY EDY. The latter showed good speed in setting the pace, skirted the inner rail and held on stubbornly. SAILED AWAY, steadied within striking distance of the pace for a half mile, drifted out when put to pressure and was unable to menace. PSYCHOGENIC went along with the pace under light restraint and held on tenaciously. TRIPLE TIME had no mishap. POOPCHA was working his way up on the outside when shut off by SAILED AWAY and never regained stride. NOLA HASH and DESIRABLE were outrun throughout. Scratched— 6000Q2 Keeping Posted, 104.
