Alleged Mutuel Ticket Forger Apprehended at Wheeling WheelingWHEELING WHEELING DOWNS Wheeling W Va May 3 Alert police work by Ralph Le Pore exFBI man and now member of the West Virginia Racing Commission resulted in the arrest of John Kohorst 25yearold Cleveland parolee in the act of cashing an altered 10 mutuel ticket on Saturday An altered ticket had passed earlier in the afternoon but mutuel clerk Paul Cooper noted the doctored ticket that Kohorst pre ¬ sented for cashing after the final race on Saturday Cooper stalled the man on the pretense of seeking more money and the alleged forger was apprehended at the window windowLe Le Pore alerted Ohio and West Virginia police to be on the lookout for an alleged accomplice of Kohorsts who said that he was cashing the ticket for a friend of his hisThe The American Totalisator Company has charged Kohorst with intent to defraud and feels that Kohorst must have been aided by another because the forgeries wen very good alterations
