Butch K Training for Another Campaign at AkSarBen Oval OvalOMAHA OMAHA Neb May 4 Butch K the big horse in the Shultz Brothers stable of Marland Oklahoma is training here for another campaign at AkSarBen which will open its 35day meeting on Thursday May 20 The Shultz string will be making its seventeenth consecutive seasonal ap ¬ pearance at the civic organizations track trackBig Big Butch as the gelded Butch K is affectionately called by his many fans has been a consistent winner at AkSarBen for the past two years and enjoyed his best season last year when he was in the money in eight of his nine starts Butch K cap ¬ tured three handicaps The Memorial Queens Plate and Ambassador in 1953 He also ran second in the George Brandeit Memorial and Cornhusker and finished third in the Princess Man o War and In ¬ augural Handicaps Butch K threw shoj during the running of the AkSarBen Handicap which was contested in the mud
