LIGHTSPEED raced well placed, responded to bris handling in the stretch drive and wore down MISS SMITH to be rapidly drawing clear. The latter establishes a long lead on the turn, appeared safely in front mid-stretch, but was tiring badly near the end. SHORT HANI responded when punished and safely gained his position; ADAMS FOLLY rallied late to pass tiring horses IRISH ADMIRAL had no excuse. KENO HILL quit. HELEN GRAYSON was not a factor. MISS CHARM immediately sprinted into a commanding lead, increased advantage under light pressure and won as her rider pleased. TIEN SHAN lost a little distance racing outside of horses on the turn and was no match for the winner. GAO was a sharp factor and weakened. WINSOME STAR raced around horses into the stretch and finished well. GIN MINT quit MOST CHARMING could not reach serious contention. ROYAL HOSTESS raced wide and tired. DEVIL RUSH had no excuse. FITZ BOB shook off rivals under brisk handling at the far turn and retained a safe advantage under urging in the drjve. POWER RIDER was a sharp factor, but could not reach the winner in an even effort. ERRABETH lacked early speed, found room between horses while rallying from the head of the stretch arid finished well. LAST HELIO attempted to bolt just inside the stretch, but was straightened quickly and finished willingly. BIT 0 DREAM raced very wide in the drive. DRIVING weakened under pressure. DELIBERTUITY raced outside two rivals vying for the pace, reached the front, but faltered in the final eighth. SENGA was well placed behind the leaders and appeared dangerous, but failed to respond. ICEBERG II. raced to the leaders under wraps down the backstretch, easily assumed command and established a long lead entering the stretch, then was taken in hand and won with the rider standing up. BOBS ALIBI was under light pressure to dispose of THE SPANIEL and take the lead, offered no resistance to the, winner, but held on gamely to stave off GOING AWAY. The latter, steadied away from the gate, raced forwardly placed between horses and appeared mildly dangerous entering the stretch, but lacked response indicated. NEJI was forced back badly at the half mile and was taken to the extreme outside, lost distance on the turn, but closed well. BLOOD TEST was not a threat. BRECHIN, blocked at the far turn, remained on the inside to improve position in the stretch. THE SPANIEL quit. TOP BRASS was impeded on the first turn and could not reach contention. STONEY TAR, rated close to the pace, assumed command when HELIOSCOPE bolted at the far turn and established a long lead in the stretch, then drifted out under urging and was tiring at the end. HELIOSCOPE, strongly rated setting the pace, bolted to the middle 6f the track at the far turn and was restraint until inside the stretch then, was stered inside STONEY TAR for the last stages and was getting to that rival. DAIRCHEE, steadied when unable to displace HELIOSCOPE enough. LADD was taken up sharply running up behind horses at the far turn and did not menace thereafter. ESCAPADE III. was bumped back at the first turn. HI-ROCK was outrun. FRENCH BLEU was taken back when outrun to the first turn and was outrun. KIRRIEMUIR was crowded and bumped at the first turn. Won driving; second and third the same. MISS BENZ easily opened a long lead, was unhurried when IRON GUY diminished her margin on the turn and responded when punished in the stretch to repulse that rival and win going away. IRON GUY, forced wide by INSCOPO the first turn and taken in hand, raced to the pace under confident restraint, then lugged in badly when roused for the stretch drive, had to be taken in hand to avoid fouling the winner and weakened. VALLEY KING had no mishap and finished well. REPEL went in the air at the start, rapidly raced into contention settling into stride and weakened in the drive. INSCOPO was outrun and carried out by SHERIFF TOM on the final turn. EASTER PRINCE showed nothing. Easter Prince claimed by Kilkare Farm. EIGHTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES.
