Holton; bred by P. A. Markey IN GATE— 5:02. OFF AT 5:02 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good for all but CHERRY BRANCH. Won driving; second and third the same. ROBARM outsprinted his rivals into the first turn to assume a commanding early lead, increased his advantage during the run down the backstretch, drifted out slightly while tiring barly during the late stages, but had enough left to withstand CHERRY BRANCH. A claim of foul against the winner by the rider of CHERRY BRANCH for alleged interference during the concluding strides, was not allowed. CHERRY BRANCH hesitated at the start, worked his way forward to be within striking distance at the furlong marker, then steadily was wearing down the leader near the end. YOUNG COLONY raced in the runner-up position to the stretch, but faltered when punished. SALINIKA had no mishap. PROCTOR and NAVAL AFFAIRE were outrun. OUBAAS never menaced. Attendance, 19,817; Total Mutuel Pool, ,763,835.
