Pimlico Dinner Party Purse Scheduled for May 17 17BALTIMORE BALTIMORE Md May 1 The fourth running of the Pimlico Dinner Party Purse unique in that the winning owner treats the losers has been scheduled for Thurs ¬ day May 17 by Louis Pbndfield execu ¬ tive director of the Maryland Jockey Club The dinner party event is one of many specials to be held during Preakness week weekOwners Owners pay a subscription fee of 35 each to nominate their horses for the five furlong event In ordinary races such fees are added to the purse but for this event they pay the expenses for the dinner party following the race at which the winning owner is host The Dinner Party Purse will be for two yearolds maidens at the time of closing on May 12 all to carry 118 pounds for a purse of 4000 The Dinner Party follows at 630 pjn that day in the Members i Club1
