Distribute Miles Parks First Book of Conditions ConditionsLouisville Louisville Course Converted Into FiveEighths of Mile in Size SizeASCOT ASCOT PARK Cuyahoga Falls Ohio May 9 The first condition book for the Miles Park summer meeting in Louisville Kentucky is being distributed here by racing secretary Charles F Henry who also is the racing secretary for the Louis ¬ ville track trackMiles Miles Park will be operated this year for the first time under its new name It for ¬ merly was known as Failgrounds Speed ¬ way The track this year has been con ¬ verted to fiveeighths of a mile and the conversion work having been done under supervision of Gen J Fred Miles president of Miles Park who founded the track and has directed its operation since it was licensed for running races three yeais ago agoThe The 1958 meeting of 26 days June 27 through July 27 will be highlighted by the first running of the Junior Derby a 6 furlong event for twoyearolds Well sup ¬ ported by Kentucky breeders the event closed on December 16 1957 with 182 nom ¬ inations x xThe The Junior Derby will be run on Satur ¬ day July 19 Two other big events to be run during the Miles Park meeting are the Louisville Cup a 5000 handicap and the 2500 Miles Mile MileThe The 1958 meeting finds the American tote in operation at the track for the first time and in addition new barns have been added to bring the total number of stalls to 1000 Improvements have been made also to the airconditioned clubhouse dining room
