LUTZ EXPLAINS ABOUT CLARENIETER BALTIMORE. Md., November 1. Eugene Lutz. former owner of the mare Clarenieter, which is held at Mapte Heights as an alleged ringer, received a telegram from officials at that track requesting his presence there to identify the horse being held as Clarenieter. Lutz stated that he. would bo unable to leave for Cleveland, as two of Ills children arc ill here. Unless the mare has her identity fully established by Saturday he said he would journey there. The mare, according to Lutz, was sold by him to Robert Bogle, a Swedish gentleman of Montreal. Canada. The mare, which was in Lutz possession, was quite ordinary and erratic. She would not gallop around the race course without company. In company,- however, she was gentle and kind. She was a large chestnut without any markings, but had been fired from her hocks down on her hind legs.
