| PIMLICO TURF NOTES $ $ T. P. Hayes was an arrival from Kentucky. He came here to supervise Head Plays final "prep" for the Preakness and to saddle the colt for the race. Jockey A. Robertson has been engaged to ride Head Play in the Preakness. Julius Reeder, racing secretary at Mount Royal, wired that there was a shortage of horses in Montreal for his meeting, which is advertised to open May 20. Several owners of small stables racing here are arranging to ship to Mount Royal at the conclusion of the Pimlico meeting. Willie Wilson, who has twenty-one horses in training for Ryland H. New, has engaged Elmer Fator to handle Juniam in the Kings Plate, to be run at Woodbine. Eddie Legere will handle King OConnor in the same race, with Frankie Dougherty piloting "Conny" Smythes Canny Age. Bill Connor and "Conny" Smythe were arrivals Tuesday from Toronto. They will remain until after the running of the Preakness. W. Zakor is making the riding engagements for jockeys E. Fator, G. Haines and F. Munden. At the conclusion of this meeting Munden, Fator, N. Wall, F. Fellows, M. Dewese and T. Luther will head for Woodbine, which meeting opens May 20. Among the horsemen slated to ship to Woodbine are C. E. Myatt; Jack Healey, with a division of the C. V. Whitney stable, James Healy, Roy Waldron and Arthur Hullcoat. It was learned from a reliable source that jockey Bert Kennedy intends to go to Canada and seek reinstatement. Word reached here Tuesday that Delmar Trivett of Chula Vista, Calif., who has been under contract to the Northway Stable, is well enough to leave the sanitarium, where he has been confined for sinus trouble. G. H. "Pete" Bostwick, who suffered a fractured collar bone when his mount, Creek, fell in Mondays steeplechase, left Monday night for New York. He was accompanied by his brother, A. C. Bostwick. Willis Sharpe Kilmer has consigned the following horses to the sale to be held in the paddock Friday: Dark Fay, Dark Sister, Bright Test, a half sister to Reigh Count; Herodot Friar, Hero Olga, Lucy Sabine, Dark Fairy, Suncircle Elan, Sour Circle, Gift Roman and Turbulent.
