POOR FOOTING SUITS TEE OFF Wins Easily Over Vitella and Others Othersin in Mount Royal Headliner j jTrack Track a Quagmire 1 MONTREAL Que June 20 The Casinoi de Paree Purse a dash of six furlongs un ¬ der claiming conditions proved easy for L Boyers Tee Off fiveyearold chestnut unsexed son of Star Master and Courcelles A surprisingly large crowd braved the un settled weather to witness the running of the sixth days program Mrs L C Campr bells Vitella raced to second place two lengths back and he was one length before O Pages Winston D DSix Six started over a wretched track which was converted into a veritable quagmire by the heavy rains of the past three days Rain fell during the second third and fourth events but had let up before the feature was run Madame T Bisante owner of the Casino de Paree presented the winning owner with a silver cup cupTee Tee Off was well ridden by the veteran Fator who rated him along and saving ground all the way moved to the outside of the pacemaking Vitella in the stretch and wearing the latter down drew away in the last sixteenth to have a twolength advan ¬ tage at the end Vitella followed closely to Red Vamp for the first quarter mile took the lead on the turn but had little in re ¬ serve when the wir ier challenged Winston D dropped out of contention soon after the start and steadily improved his position closed a big gap to be in third place before the highly regarded Remrofrep which was unable to reach contention under punish ment
