H. W. Smith to Be Principal Speaker at Hervey Dinner HOMEWOOD, III., June 27. Harry Worcester Smith, world traveler, author and authority on steeplechasing and hunting, has accepted an invitation to be the principal speaker at the testimonial dinner in honor of John L. Hervey, at the Stevens Hotel on July 6. Smith, longtime friend of Hervey, is coming from his home in Worcester, Mass., to attend the function. At least 250 persons are expected to attend the dinner. Tom Underwood will serve as toast-master and among other speakers will be Chris J. Fitzgerald, Herbert Bayard Swope, Lincoln G. Plaut and Brownell Combs.
