SAVING, under restraint while alternating with STORMY BII.I. in setting the pace, disposed of that one, then held on namely to outlast T RO SUNTED. The latter was allowed to lag behind the field early, moved into serious contention on the final turn, but hung after reaching tl.e leader. SHOVE OFF. hard held while within striking dislame of the leaders, was crowded when TACARO SUNTED moved up on the outside. HII.I. FOX nfoved well on the inside in the eaily stretch and raced evenly thereafter. HOT NIGHT flattened out when placed to pressure. STORMY BILL saved ground while racing with the early pace, then stopped badly in the final quarter mile. SECOND RACE 3-4 MILE Out of Chute. JOHNNIE J. went between horses while moving to the front, lugged in on HXSIF"R WOLF soon after taking command, drew clear while going easily and was under a hard drive through the final furlone. HOOSIER WOLF saed ground while racing with the pate, was crowded when the winner took command and fought it out willingly. LA REINETTE raced forwardly placed from the start, then tired in the closing test. HEADOVERHEELS closed with a belated rush. OLDOMWOOD failed to improve his position. RARE was crowded back approaching the half mile pole and failed to recover. ETERNAL PEACE showed nothing. Jockey Torres claimed foul against JOHNNIE J. for crowding HOOSIER WOLF", for which the stewards took down the winners number. PIED PIPER, alwavs a forward factor, made a game try in the closing drive but could not threaten the top one. UNDER OVER tired gradually after showing in front early. BOSSINEY showed an even effort. CUSHLAMACREE, allowed to rate on her own courage eaily, loomed danaerously turning for home, but was not good enough. HIGH BOSS, off well but unable to keep up early, moved into serious contention in the early stretch, then faltered gradually.
