VALLEY STREAM, under restraint white in close attendance to the pace, drew clear leaving the backstretch and was not threatened while winning handily. RESOJET improved his position willingly, but could not get to the top one. SWEEP CLEAN loomed a threat in the early stretch, but hung after reaching RESOJET. HAVING FUN raced evenly and without mishap. SUBDUE caught tired horses. BAROLO took advantage of the inside post to attain a clear early lead, then failed to retain the advantage. LORAN improved her position along the inside to the stretch, was taken up sharply and sent to the outside of ENSA, assumed command and was mildly urged to hold CARAWAY safe. The latter rallied from well back in a good effort STAR STUDENT held, a forward position and was bumped by LORAN near the furlong pole. ENSA flattened out after enjoying a comfortable lead to midstretch. JAMAL weakened early. KACHGAR broke tardily. THE RHODESIAN quit. The latter was taken to the inside when outrun by two horses early, assumed command and weakened in the drive. WHIFFENPOOF, hard pressed while holding a slight advantage, tired only slightly.
