BOUGENT moved into serious : contention on the final turn, continued his challenge and outfinished LITTLE BONES. The latter, steadied while following the pace, assumed a clear lead nearing the stretch and held on gamely. FETCH-IT held a clear lead along the backstretch, gave way leaving the backstretch, then challenged again in the early stretch, but was impeded while between the top pair. SIGNAL WAY loomed a threat entering the stretch, but lacked a closing rally. JEEP QUEST raced evenly and without mishap: PENNY HILL failed to threaten. COUNT CHRIS • broke slowly.
