SUN FLAVOR drew clear in the opening quarter mile, was taken in hand and roused when trying to loaf near the sixteenth pole, but was never in danger. MISTFLOWER, sluggish at the start, bullied her way between horses to be near contention at the quarter pole, then lacked a closing rally. ESSIE S. raced in closest attendance of the pace from the start * and held on gamely. OUR MISS improved position gradually. MODEL HOME went evenly. NATIVE ROSE was in close quarters soon after the start. RED BUTLER was taken up when caught in close quarters. MAGADA weakened. BUBBLE WORLD showed nothing. The ethers were never prominent. WINGED raced close to the pace, assumed command entering the stretch, drew clear and was under intermittent* urging to, maintain position. PROBATION, unable to reach the pace, was taken to the outside in the stretch, rallied mildly,, but was not good enough. FIESTA saved ground to better the late position. MAY FIRST passed tiring horses. BE PROUD sulked early and refused to extend herself under pressure. GUNNER was used up forcing the pace. BLUE FOX, fractious at the gate, showed nothing in the running. REYNARD tired after getting close to the leader on the final turn. GAY tired. BOUNCING BABY showed a dull effort. FIGHTING COMET, rushed boldly leaving the backstretch, drew in closest attendance of the leader and was lugging in, badly hampering the efforts of his rider. HOO IS IT, steadied in the early stages, rallied mildly when roused. VELVET BOUND passed tiring horses. GABY H. showed nothing TAP THE TILL flattened out rfter forcing the pace to the furlong pole. POSER assumed command at once, was well rated while establishing the pace, drew clear when roused in the final quarter mile and held GREAT ISSUE safe. The latter improved position after six furlongs, challenged the leader, but was not good enough. WAR DRESSING worked his way up between horses on the tOrns, came to the inside near the end and finished strongly. RATON was forced to lose ground early, came to the inside on the turns, but lacked a closing rally. HARSAM showed nothing. SVENGALI passed tiring horses. CORN KING was outrun. ARKMO weakened from frorcing the pace. COMEDY BOY showed nothing. The others were outrun. NAVY moved to the front soon after the start, opened a commanding lead before being steadied, came out slightly entering the stretch and continued gamely under pressure. LITTLE STEP moved along rapidly in closest attendance of the leader, moved to engage in the final quarter mile, but. was unable to reach the leader. DAUGHTER C. saved ground throughout and closed willingly. FLYING BOOTS was going well at the end. SUMMER CRUISE was outrun. DESCENTIVE flashed speed for a half mile, then weakened.
