MAY BOND CLUBHOUSE COMMISSIONERS. "It Is said on good authority that in future the clubhouse commissioners who wish to operate on the Jockey Club tracks will be compelled to put up a 0,000 bond to guarantee clients against possible loss," says the New York Sun. "Last year several of these betting agents failed to make good to the extent of some heavy wagers, so that measures will lie taken, it is said, to prevent a repetition of the practice. There were too many clubhouse agents on various occasions, but the number fell off when the admission rate to the clubhouse was Increased to a day."
