Marion Rose decisively outbroke and outpaced her opponents, winning with plenty iu reserve. Native Son, ou the inside and away flatfooted, closed a big gap Into an easy second and has all the earmarks of a coming good one. Clements tired after a strenudus early effort to keep pace with the winner, saving a lucky third place. Agatha R. was closing up fasjt at the end In a line effort. Blue Bottle, nearly left, made up a lot of ground and ran a superior race. Joe Carey, a grand looker and probably short, ran a good race. Princess Leila was going like a shot alt the end. Phalanx, showing surprising improvement, forced the pace from the start, coining away at the half to win off and pulling up. Fastpso maintained a forward position throughout, was badly interfered with on the last turn and, under, a weak finish, was, swerving all over the homestretch, but was an easy second. Alderman Batt displayed superior speed from the start and was a game third on his own courage under a very bad ride. Hooligan, shullled to. the, rear on the first turn, had a rough early journey, but ran a poor race. Chestnut went well and is worth watching. Lone Wolf, away badly, lacked respectable speed. Grasscuttcr suffered from crowding at the start, but steadily Improved her position into a game third. Sea Lad, nearly left closed n tremendous gap and was going like a whirlwind at the end. Arestnllator also made up a lot of ground from a poor sendoff. El Dlnero was short, but showed superior speed and is a good looker. Pal had a rough journey, but loomed up on the inside in the last sixteenth and was shut off and finished pulled up. St. Francis showed a Hash of his old-time early speed and may be rounding to. Red Leaf was in strenuous pursuit of the winner throughout and finished flagging, but game. Gregor K. found the going too fast and failed to stay after showing brilliant early speed. The latter, badly messed about in close pursuit of the winner under a terrific pull, barely failed to get up at the end and probably was best. Havi-land, after trailing for half the journey, closed up rapidly at the end, showing sudden improvement. Sais was close up at the end and going fast and is about due. Christine A. ran as if stale, although mishandled almost throughout. Magrane ran poorly and will do to watch. Overweights Sa i s, 3 pounds. . Pinkerton, slightly sore, tired. right at the end after strenuous early pursuit of Andrew B. Cook. II. L. Frank tired after forward contention to the stretch. The Mighty found the journey too short.
