Karama showed decided improvement and the most early speed, but tired in the closing strides. Approbation closed a gap and finished gamely, but was a distant third. Merely Mary Ann was close up almost from the start, took command when straightened for the stretch and drew away at the end under restraint. Margaret Angela broke in motion and kept pace with the winner to the stretch, but tired in the last quarter. Gentian, after falling back, came again fit the end and finished wearing Margaret Angela down. Honeywell ran well and finished resolutely. Topo Chieo showed decided improvement. The latter went well, but tired under a drive and the race should improve him. Picktinie" showed improvement, but faltered at a couple of the jumps and is stiff and sore and not the good horse he was last spring. Chnnley put up a good performance at the weights. Rip was short. Modred was cut off and interfered with four times in the first six furlongs and was finally pulled up ajid went around the leaders on the turn out of the backstretch, opened a winning lead quickly and was well in hand at the finish. Lampadrome raced Monochord into retirement in the first six furlongs, but was unable to stand off the winners challenge. Little Elkin finished with a rusli after going wide on the turn into the hqme-stretch. Foreigner went fairly well only. Monochord showed early speed, but failed to stay. Florizel can do much better. Robin Hood moved up with a rush while rounding the far turn aud raced Sheen and Czaraphine into defeat, "i : . but quit when Thespian caught him in the stretch run. Sheen ran well to the stretch.
