Decimo fenced well, waited on Milas and Adams to the last quarter, then moved up and outstayed Adams in a sharply contested finish. Adams, after being reserved in the early stages, ran into the lead and seemed the winner, but failed to withstand Declmos resolute challenge. Milas fenced well, but tired under his heavy impost. Mastcrson, away well, was taken up and ran under restraint to the stretch, where he came fast when called on and, finishing resolutely, got up to win in the last stride. Orilene. favored by ,hcr light impost and well ridden, finished fast and gamely and barely failed to win. Good Luck followed Secret closely to the stretch, but tired under ids weight when strongly called on and did not run to his best form. Secret ran a good three-quarters and held on gamely when beaten. Orchan was well ridden and a game contender throughout, but could not withstand the winner. Hippocrates had no mishaps and ran a good race. Varletes ran a fast mile, but failed to stay the route.
