VETERAN COLORED TRAINER DIES. Lexington, Ky., January 11. Newton Jones, colored, a well known thoroughbred trainer, died today after a brief illness. He had charge of the horses at the Kentucky Association track belonging to Joseph Ilergenrether, of Tippecanoe City.
