YOUNG CESARIONS MAKE GOOD SHOWING. Albert Second as Sire of Two-year-olds for First Twenty Days this Year. In the first twenty racing days of 1900, fifty-one races for two-year-olds have been run at the four tracks now in operation fifteen at Crescent Park, thirteen at. City Park, twelve at Oakland and eleven at Ascot Park. These races have been won by forty two horses representing twenty-nine sires. Ray Egan .lias won three races and Baleshed, Marion Rose, Viola B., Iteinay, Bonart, Grace G. and Mimics Daughter have taken two each. Cesarion, which, in six years on the turf, won thirty-six races and 3,917, is represented by live of these juvenile winners. The -noted old stallion Albert, vhich headed the list of winning sires in lb.!, is next with four representative. Then conies Toddiiigtoil, Glenlieiin and Dieudoniie, a trio of Hag-gin stallions, with two each; Sir Dixon, which headed the list of. "winning sires in 1901, has two, likewise the young English-bred stallion GriiTon and the noted old Missouri horse Free Knight. The states of Kentucky; California and Missouri have produced these forty-two winning two-year-olds Kentucky, twenty-six; California, twelve, and Missouri, four.
