Yankee Jim, improving in form, was in forward and game contention throughout. Mcnden. away flying, forced the pace to the last sixteenth, where he tired badly. Procrastinate jumped into the lead almost at the start and won all the way, showing surprisingly improved form on a good track. Dr. Sherman, away flatfooted. clqsed an immense gap on the extreme outside, but was helped by the improved going. Alice Cary also suffered at the start, but worked through a rough journey on the inside, finally finishing like a shot on the outside, going fastest of all and evidently best. The Roustabout tired after early forward contention and probably was short. Jake Ward ran one of his bad races. Tramotor again retired early, running a bad race. Cousin Carrie tired as if short. Christine Asuffered from crowding a"t the start" and was badly messed about, losing ground at a critical point1 on tlie last turn, but came again with a belated rush right at the end. Watchful, nearly left, closed an immense gap-with amazing rapidity, but after menacing the loader, tired right at the end. Lcrldii finished close up aud going well. Conrled ran in close pursuit of the leader from the start and loomed up menacingly in the stretch, but tired after being carried very wide. El Dinero. on the outside and weakly handled, displayed brilliant speed aud stamina and is a superior colK Ruby, badly interfered with, to the stretch, finished gamely and ran a grand race.
