Picktime was a contender at all stages, carried Oliver Mc along at a fast clip while going to the ninth jump that made the latter tire, shook off the leader in the last quarter and was going away at the end. Oliver Mc was easih- best of the others, fenced well and showed much speed, but tired in the last eighth. Creoliu went well "and outgamed Lights Out when it came to a drive. Archibald tumbled off Charawind on the flat after taking the sixth jump. Ben Battle fell at the third, jump. Tython went well for one turn of the held, then retired. Scratched 32S13W. H. Dixon, 14S. Auditor showed a rare turn of early speed and finished gamely, but could not withstand the winner. Harry Stephens ran well and outgamed lliizz.-ili when it came to the final drive. Merlingo began slowly and was outrun in the early stages and had to work his way up on the extreme outside, but came with a rush in the last furlong ;ind won going away. Hadur ran a smart race, was in close quarters while rounding the far turn and had to bump his way through when straightened out in the homestretch and outgamed Skyward in a sharp drive. The latter broke with the leaders, helped race Immortelle and Esterre into defeat in the early stages and held on gamely to the end. Doctor Dan saved ground on the turn into the, homestretch, where he appeared to have a winning lead, but quit when Farrow drew his whip. Monochord went fairly well. Leader ran n smart race and the best he has shown here this winter. Fonsoluca was messed about all the way and tired at the end under a drive. Brushton ran well to the stretch, then tired badly.
