Gould fenced well and put up a good performance, but won because New Amsterdam made a mistake at the last jump. This cost him the nice. Oliver Mc tired after going one turn of the field. Pirate made a bad landing at the fifth jump and unseated his rider. Evander and Poorlands ran badly.
