The latter did his best and gamely outstayed Hippocrates for third place. The latter ran poorly and can do much licttcr. The others cut no figure In the race. Crowshade was badly outrun for three-quarters, but finished witli a rush and would have been secotid in another stride. Willie Gregg ran a fast three-quarters and is an improving young horse.
